Wishing Stones for End Poverty Day! Irish primary schools ‘Day of Action’ with the Global Citizenship School Network

The Irish primary schools ‘Day of Action’ of the Global Citizenship School Network facilitated by volunteers from the Trade Union INTO is the UN End Poverty Day!

In 2018, the pupil action is to partake in the “Writing our Wishes on Stone” event in classrooms. Discover how the chair of IINTO speaks about the campaign here: twitter.com/

Stones and markers are gathered. Pupils discuss ‘ending poverty’ or ‘a fairer world’ and then write simple messages of their wishes for a fairer world on a stone and a class display of the stones is then assembled and photographed and uploaded with the hashtag #WishingStones on Social Media.

Schools from all over Ireland will be doing this at the same time and InTouch (the Trade Union Magazine) the will carry photos in the November edition.
