Art works to depict poverty from local to global at Lus na Gréine Family Resource Centre in Granard

Lus na Gréine Family Resource Centre, Granard, Co. Longford in collaboration with its Art Group will put on a Photographic/Artistic Exhibition depicting images of poverty from local to global.
This is intended to raise awareness of the plight of people facing poverty and forgotten in our world.
It will address corruption and injustice through art, photography and film. The Art Group are currently working on art pieces and will present very striking works.
The exhibition will run for a full week and will be launched on October, 16th at 10am. Launch will involve from local schools and wider community.

8200851Lus na Gréine Family Resource Centre Ltd. serves the community of Granard, Abbeylara and Mullinalaghta. The Voluntary Management Committee is made up of seven local people and the centre employs a Project Coordinator and Part time Administrator.
The centre works with families and individuals and offers support, information and focuses on the needs of the community. Volunteers are vital to the work of the centre and we welcome people to both support and avail of the services of the centre.
