16 October is World Food Day: Gorta Self Help Africa Conference will address the contribution of family farming in eradicating rural poverty and hunger

This year’s Gorta Self Help Africa World Food Day Conference www.worldfoodday.ie will focus on the contribution of family farming in eradicating hunger, reducing rural poverty, and achieving food security and nutrition through sustainable agricultural production and the development of rural areas.

With insights from scientists and field practitioners, the conference will discuss the challenges faced by smallholders and help identify efficient ways to support family farms in fostering inclusive growth and building resilient food systems.
