Inspired by the 30th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child in 2019, the International 17 October Committee, in consultation with its UN partners and ATD Fourth World teams around the world, has issued a Concept Note on the theme for the global commemorations of the International United Nations Day for the Eradication of Poverty on 17 October 2019, namely: “Acting together to empower children, their families and communities to end poverty”.
