The 17th October Committee would like to invite all to join us on the 17th October 2024 to mark the UN International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
The Dublin event takes place on 17th October from 11.00am to 12.30 pm on 17th October at the Human Rights and Poverty Stone, by the Famine Statues, Custom House Quay Dublin 1. This is one of many initiatives taking place around Ireland and across the globe. The Irish theme for this year is “Breaking Barriers and Building Bridges: Together Together Towards Inclusion and Equality”. Read more about this theme here. The event will include speeches, music and a common gesture and testimonies. Listening to these testimonies from those with lived experience of poverty and injustice is the heart of the event. See below for further information.
We look forward to welcoming you on the day.
