In Glasgow, Scotland, you can find a 17 October Human Rights and Poverty Stone on George Square. It was inaugurated there in 1999.
This year again, it is Bridging the Gap who invites public to mark the UN Day at 12noon on 17 October.
Bridging the Gap is a small charity based in the Gorbals, set up in 1998 to work across divides in the local community and beyond. It has 3 strands to our work; Developing Young People, Developing Community Inclusion and Developing Families.
